Students drew horizontal and vertical lines, and then cut out a triangle to create a waffle cone. Then they chose a color/flavor and made a hand print.

Kindergarten has been working on many skills this quarter so far in art. Tearing paper, cutting paper, drawing patterns with markers, creating symmetry, and even sewing!
There is a lot going on in the art room this week! We have been painting reindeer, designing a holiday stamp, and learning some origami. I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing break! See you next year!
Kindergarten made Native American Vests to wear for their Thanksgiving Feast. They learned how to cut fringe and draw with symmetry.
5th grade used oil pastels to draw a cornucopia that shows what they are thankful for. There is also a display of 1st grade texture turkeys up in the art hall. Students are learning about the life cycle of the pumpkin in their classrooms. In art we mixed our own orange and green paint, then used the paper to collage a pumpkin patch. We also read "It Looked Like Spilt Milk" and stamped clouds that could look like other objects. |
