Kindergartners learned how to fold, roll, cut, make tabs, and glue paper into a 3 dimensional playground. They made slides, sandboxes, swings, monkey bars, tree houses, and much more!
1st graders reviewed how to draw shape people and created people of different sizes. They added details to show who they are in their families. The
2nd graders learned about Pablo Picasso and how he sometimes rearranges parts of his paintings. They studied animals and made sure they showed all of the parts of their animal, but in the wrong place. Some students added beads and multiple colors of yarn to create things like apples, flowers, and fall leaves. Here are some of the finished products.
The last month has been very busy! I had to pack all of the art supplies into boxes and unpack them in my new art room in the new wing. Thank you to the many parents and other teachers that stopped in to help unpack. You all made it much easier.
We have been doing a lot of weaving and drawings projects. Pictures to come soon! |
