There is a lot going on in the art room this week! We have been painting reindeer, designing a holiday stamp, and learning some origami. I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing break! See you next year!

Next we had to add glaze so they would be shiny... The final masks...
3rd graders are learning about Egypt in their classrooms. In art we drew a Sarcophagus and used Hieroglyphics and patterns to decorate it. They traced the drawing onto a piece of scratch board paper and then scraped away the top layer of black ink.
4th graders used what the learned about human proportions to draw a scarecrow. They used woodless colored pencil sticks and regular colored pencils after they outlined their drawing.
4th graders imagined they were on a ship discovering a new land. They used techniques to show depth in order to illustrate what they would see through the porthole.
3rd graders used oil pastel techniques like blending and rubbing to create a fall landscape. They looked at photos and learned some ways to show depth in a picture.
