Students drew their family using on a light colored marker first. They had to draw all if the shapes to show who is taller and who is shorter. Once their whole family was draw they could use other colors to add details like clothing, accessories, hair color, and pets.
Students learned how to sew a rainbow on burlap using a plastic needle. They also cut out a felt sun and added some puffy clouds. Students used their knowledge of shapes to create a printing plate. They made copies of it by rolling ink and pressing complementary colored paper on top. Students recalled all the projects that they did in the art room this year and illustrated them in an accordion style book.
