Not art related, but kind of because Duct Tape can be an art material... Our administration was taped to the wall by the school because we got pledges from all 50 states for our Boosterthon Run.

Kindergartners are learning about spring! They stamped grass, and flowers with stems and leaves. They used found objects like spools, corks, and marker caps. To make the grass they used the side of a piece of cardboard. They even used what they learned earlier in the year and created some clouds with sponge stamping. Here are a few finished products.
There are some other great projects on display that were done while I was gone. You artists all did a great job! I saw cut paper weavings, architecture drawings, and vessels of exploration.
2nd graders sculpted animals using clay. Here is what they looked like before they were glazed! After they were fired students glazed them with either realistic colors or colors influenced by Oaxaca wood sculptures. Here are some examples of the Oaxaca animals that we looked at:
The cutting and gluing! The finished houses! They turned out so well they just had to be displayed around the school. There is a display in the library and in the front lobby.
Kindergartners learned how to fold, roll, cut, make tabs, and glue paper into a 3 dimensional playground. They made slides, tunnels, sandboxes, swings, monkey bars, tree houses, and much more!
Thank you to everyone who made it out to the reception. The show looked great because of our talented artists!
