2nd graders learned about Pablo Picasso and how he sometimes rearranges parts of his paintings. They studied animals and made sure they showed all of the parts of their animal, but in the wrong place.

2nd grade and 5th grade students have been painting landscapes. They learned how to layer paint and use a 3 step process to create textures and depth.
![]() 2nd graders learned about American painter Grant Wood and were inspired by his famous painting "American Gothic" to draw a portrait with a friend. They had to draw people that overlap, so that one person is slightly covering the other. There are also at least 5 clues as to who the people are. The first step was to draw light until you get it right with pencil, then they outlined with marker, and lastly used many crayon techniques to color. |
